Linda Jean Denoy, age 57 of Gun Barrel City, TX, passed away April 1, 2010. She was born July 4, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, to Paul Maurice and Martha (Giles) Denoy. Linda was passionate about art and was the art teacher at Dorsey Elementary in Seagoville, TX, for many years. She loved her students and is remembered as a very kind and warm hearted person. Linda was a loving mother and was best friends with her daughter Christina. When Christina was born, Linda told everyone "she got the best one," and Christina grew up to feel the same way about her. In her younger years, Linda enjoyed skydiving and scuba diving, and always enjoyed traveling, boating and being on the water. She loved animals, especially her cat Windham. Linda touched the lives of so many and will be dearly missed.

Linda is survived by her daughter: Christina Gililland; mother: Martha Denoy; brother: Dan Denoy and wife Bettye; brother-in-law: Ed Kubler; numerous nieces, nephews and great niece. She was preceded in death by her father and sister Cathette Kubler.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rowlett Chapel. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
