Bea married Harvey Ellis Mattingly, who was born December 14, 1906, in Oklahoma, the son of Charles A. Mattingly and Rosa Anne Stice. Bea and Ellis adopted Eugene Ogden Mattingly, born September 28, 1941 in Dallas, Texas; and Melinda Lou Mattingly, born December 22, 1945 in Durant, Oklahoma.
Ellis died December 24, 1982 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Highland Cemetery. Bea died July 17, 1986, in Durant, Oklahoma and was buried beside her husband.
