AGED RESIDENT TAKEN BY DEATH
Daniel V. Flickinger, aged and highly respected citizen of Orrville, died at his home, 131 Pearl Street, at 10:15 Tuesday forenoon. Death was caused by paralysis, the stroke which he suffered last Thursday. He had been in ill health for the past several weeks.
Mr. Flickinger was born near Smithville in 1839, aged 81 years. In 1865 he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Ann Kistler, under the parental roof in Whitney county, Ind. Three years later they moved on a farm in Canaan township and have since resided in Wayne county. In 1907 they moved to this city.
He is survived by a wife. He is the last of a family of nine children.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by Rev. W. H. Oswalt. Burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
