'Lena Mae Embry, 79, of Paris died Friday, July 4, 2003, in Christus St. Joseph's Hospital South. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Solid Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Windsor Archie officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.
She was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Lamar County to the late John and Ola Mae Cooper Bills. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver Embry; one son, J.B. Embry; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Mary M. Embry; Mary J. Embry; Pat 'Pris' and husband, Lonnie Johnson; and Dora Embry, all of Paris; one brother, Edward Turner of Paris; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.'
