Charles Howard Ball
(May 17, 1922 - June 27, 2010)

Charles Howard Ball, age 88, passed away at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 17, 1922 in Hemingford, NE to Charles and Matilda (Wise) Ball.

Mr. Ball had worked at Ford Motor Company as a mechanic and also Carthage Marble.

He was an Army Veteran of WW II.

Charles was a member of the Kings Chapel of Carterville.

He married Virginia (Padilla) November 20, 1965 and she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include a son, Rick Ball and wife Debbie of Carterville; daughter, Penny Hawkins and husband Mike of Grand Junction, CO; 4 grandchildren, Teresa Hawkins, Jake Hawkins, Misty Phillips and Dea Duncan and also 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mr. Ball will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Rev. Vern Walter officiating.

Burial with full military rites will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
