Michael, Lola Estell, age 94, passed away on June 25, 2010 at Heritage Place nursing facility in Mesquite (Dallas Co.), following a lengthy illness.

Estell was born May 25, 1916 in Jonesboro, TX, the daughter of Joel Neel Sellers and Ella Lee Bankston-Sellers. She married Johnnie Bertrand Michael on Oct. 14, 1935 in Hamilton, TX. She was preceded in death by husband on March 29, 1969.

She is survived by son Joel Paul Michael and his wife Fayrene of Mesquite, Inez White-Michael of Wylie, widow of deceased son Tommey W. Michael; grandchild Joy Michael-Jarrett of Wylie, and three great grandchildren, Colton Chappell, Conner Chappell and Elizabeth "Beth" Jarrett.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Tommey W. Michael, two grandchildren – John Shelby Michael, Ruth Shawn Michael Chappell, and three brothers, Lee Neel Sellers, John Emmett Sellers, and Jerry Neal.

Estell was born in Coryell County and lived most of her life there on a farm near Evant following marriage where they raised two sons. Family active in First Baptist Church of Evant. She was well known in the area for her talents as an artist. Her high level of creativity was evident in all her projects from oil paintings to creating see pictures, and craft projects that are too numerous to list. She enjoyed participating in the county home extension club – where she often demonstrated art techniques and new crafts to others. When her health began to fail, she moved from Evant to Wylie 23 years ago to be near her children.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 30th at 10:30am at Murphree Cemetery in Evant, TX.
