LAGRANGE, IND. - Thelma J. Morris, 90, 215 W. South Street, died February 2, 1989, at the LaGrange Hospital. She had been ill for 10 days.
She was born June 4, 1898, in Jordan Springs, Tennessee, a daughter of John and Laura (Seay) Shelby.
On June 4, 1922, she married B. Carl Morris, in Jordan Springs. He died July 6, 1949.
She was a LaGrange resident since September 1984, coming from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She was a member of the LaGrange Church of Christ.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Sara) Platts, LaGrange, and Mrs. Edward (Kay) Moss, Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. J. L. (Margaret) Clardy, Annie Allen and Ruth Key, all of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Lucille Lee, Springfield, Tennessee.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, LaGrange, where a prayer service will be at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Roy Noble, Church of Christ, will officiate. Relatives and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Monday at the McReynolds-Nave Funeral Home, Clarksville, Tennessee, where services are at 4 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Clarksville, Tennessee.
Memorials may be directed to the Church of Christ.
