Mrs. Eliza E. White, after a lingering illness, died early yesterday morning at her home, 102 St. John street, East Macon. The deceased, widow of the late William E. White, of Savannah, was 73 years of age. Mrs. White was a sister of the late Mrs. Martha E. Cutter, wife of M. H. Cutter, of East Macon, one of the oldest of Macon citizens, who passed away about four months ago, and was followed in death by his wife. Mrs. White is survived by one son, Fred White, of Montgomery, and one daughter, Mrs. Daisy E. Lumpkin, of this city, and by numerous grandchildren.

Her obituary has her with the middle initial "E": Eliza E. White. However, she was referred to as "Mrs. E. Y. White" in both granddaughters Bessie's and Emily's marriage announcements. . Other records also show her with the middle initial "Y". Her husband, William Edwin White, whom she appeared to be separated from for many years, died 4 Sep 1912.
