Albert Justin Floyd, 64, of Humansville died Sunday June 27, 2010, at Northwood Hills Care Center, Humansville.

The son of Justin and Essel MacAllister Floyd, he was born July 17, 1945, in Baton Rouge, La.

Albert and Irma Hague were married June 18, 1971. They were the parents of three children, Catherine, Melinda and David.

During the Vietnam War, Albert served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1973. He most recently was employed at Tracker Marine in Bolivar as a security officer for six years until becoming disabled.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Melvin Floyd; and two sisters, Faye Hanson and Denise Street.

Survivors include his wife, Irma, of the home; three children, Catherine Floyd, Melinda Wedge and husband Shawn and David Floyd, all of Humansville; three grandchildren, Chelsea, Ciara and Brandon Wedge; one brother, Ernest Floyd of Baton Rouge, La.; and one sister, Janey Erwin of Gonzales, La.

Graveside memorial services are at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at Alder Cemetery west of Humansville with military rites by the Amvets Post No. 114 Honor Guard. Services are under the direction of Murray Funeral Home, Humansville. Online condolences may be made at www.murrayfuneralhomes.com.
