I.} Clark was born at Tremont, New York, the son of John & Sarah Clark; he joined the United States Navy during the Civil War, serving onboard the "USS Vanderbilt" from 31 May 1864 to 24 June 1867"; honorably discharged from the Navy; worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in the baggage department at the Flatbush Avenue Station in Brooklyn, New York; in his old age he lived with his niece Mary Fullerton in Commack, L. I.; he died at her home in Commack; funeral by Rev. Greanoff of St. John's Episcopal Church, Huntington, Suffolk County
