Mr. Marvin Eugene Adcox, Jr., age 69, died Sunday, December 25, 2016, at his residence.

The Henderson, North Carolina native moved to Bulloch County in 1973. He retired three years ago as a paving equipment operator from Sikes Brothers Construction.

Marvin loved fishing and spending time outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Adcox, Sr. and Elsie Adcox, and his wife, Barbara Pollett Adcox.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin Eugene Adcox, III and Joanne of Hephzibah, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Glenn Powell of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Michael Miller, Samantha Adcox, Samantha Miller, Darrell Adcox, Hailey Powell, and Shelly Powell; three great-grandchildren, Kaliegh Miller, Khloie Miller, and Grayson Miller; a sister, Della May Dickerson, of Henderson, NC; and two brothers, Steve Adcox of Henderson, NC, and Charles Adcox of Franklin, NC.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00am in the Chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder Steve Taylor officiating.

Interment will be held in Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
