Mrs. Abbott was born in Pasadena, to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith, and had moved to Chico with her parents, when she was a youngster.
Following her schooling, which was received in the local schools, she and her husband, David Abbott were married.
In addition to her husband, who is with the U.S. Air Force stationed at Camp Beale, Mrs. Abbott is survived by a five-month-old son, Michael; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Chico; her paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Smith, also of Chico, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Nelson of Pasadena.
Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home Saturday at 1 p.m. and interment will take place in Glen Oaks Memorial Park.
