Travis L. 'Frog' South, 71, of Cairo, MS, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at his residence. He was a retired fire chief for the City of Iuka, and a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Quay Woodruff South; one daughter, Pam Moody (Allen) of Cairo; two stepsons, Richard Harville (Deneen) of Unionville, TN, and Alan Harville (Christy) of Thrasher, MS; one sister, Christene Davis of Burnsville, MS; three brothers, Booster South (Mary) of Burnsville, MS, Abe South (Gail) of Florence, AL, and Talmadge South (Judy) of Tishomingo, MS; one grandson, Dusty Richardson of Cairo; one step grandson, Kyle Smith (Amy) of Chalybeate, MS; one step great granddaughter, Bailey Smith of Chalybeate, MS; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Ruby South; and a stepson, Howard Harville.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Thursday, July 1, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Ricky Fields. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rick Inlow, Doc Austin, Rufus Austin, Howard Smith, Alan Harville, Richard Harville, and Steve Williams. Honorary pallbearer is Richard Woodruff.
