Good Christian Woman Called to Eternal Home

On Sunday morning, October 30, at 8 o'clock, Mrs. N.C. Mize, one of Elbert's oldest and best Christian women, died at her home near Dewey Rose. She had been in declining health for some time.
Mrs. Mize was born January 29,1839. She was married to John L. Mize, who preceded her to the grave many years ago, on November 25,1885 (1855). She was the mother of nine children, seven daughters and two sons, all of whom except one daughter are now living.The following children survive: Mrs. Alex Moore, Mrs. Ike Moore, Mrs. Mark Bond, Misses Ada and Ozie Mize of Elbert County, Mrs. Robert Andrews of East Point, Mr. Warren Mize of Hart County, Mr. George Mize of South Carolina.
The funeral services were conducted at Antioch church by Rev. T.J. Rucker, of Bowman, her grandsons acting as pallbearers and her body was laid to rest by the side of her husband. Many beautiful florals attested the love of friends.
