William Quay Fowler

Mr. William Quay Fowler, 78, of Dalton, died Saturday, October 13, 2001, in the Hamilton Medical Center.
Mr. Fowler was preceeded in death by his first wife, Geneva Crump Fowler.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Robinson Fowler; daughters, Joan Quarles, Dalton; Darlene Fowler, Tennessee; and Lacresia Smith, Resaca; son, David Smith, Dalton; brother, Ernest Fowler, South Carolina; and five grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, October 16, at 2pm from the chapel of the Love Funeral Home of Dalton with Rev. Mark Atkins, Rev. Charles Williams and Rev. Timothy Parker officiating.
Interment followed in the Harmony Grove Cemetery under the direction of Love Funeral Home of Dalton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dalton Shrine Club Burn Unit, PO Box 405 Dalton, GA 30722-0405.

We lived right next door to Uncle Quay for many years on Maddox Chapel Road in Dalton, GA. I remember him as being sort of meek and even tempered.
