ANTHONY P. AUNE, 58, TAKEN BY DEATH
Anthony Peter Aune, 58, a resident of Bismarck since 1901, died at 6:50 a.m., Wednesday at Dunseith where he had been a patient in the state tuberculosis hospital for the last five months.
With him at the time of his death were his wife and his oldest son, Robert G. Aune, 903 Ninth St.
Mr. Aune was born July 13, 1878, at Fergus Falls, Minn., was baptized in the Lutheran church and attended grade schools there.
In 1901 he came to Bismarck where he was married to Miss Lillian Anderson in 1908.
From 1901 to 1908 he was employed at the Grand Pacific hotel here and from 1908 to 1916 he was engineer on a steamboat running out of Bismarck. From 1916 to 1934 he was an engineer at the state capitol building and since 1934 had been associated with his son in the carpenter business at such times as he was able to work.
In addition to his widow and oldest son he leaves seven other children, Darwin of Portland, Ore., and Ruth, Mabel, Eugene, Lawrence, Vernon and Duane, the youngest seven years old.
He also leaves three brothers, Albert Aune of Wilton, Nels Aune of Parshall and Chris Aune of Fergus Falls, Minn.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the home and at 2:30 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. Opie S. Rindahl officiating.
Interment will be made in Fairview cemetery.
