BLANK, Aaron was born June 17, 1825 in Mercer County, Pennsylvania the son of Jonas George Blank and Salome Mohr. He married Louisa M. Barnes February 19, 1850 and they had two children, Imogene and Regina. Louisa was the sister of Calvin Cole Barnes. He joined the rush for gold in California in 1852, returning after about ten months. He was a carpenter, joiner, store clerk and storekeeper. He was raised a Master Mason February 6, 1855. He died January 20, 1916 in Mason City, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa and was buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City, Iowa.
