Services for Hilda Rae May Douglas, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Douglas, 89, died Feb. 28, 2010, at Brookmanor Golden Living Center.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1920, to Dudley Thomas May and Eula Gertrude Brown May.

She was a retired supervisor with Stahl-Urban. She was a member of Adams Methodist Church, and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Sew What Sewing Club and Pleasant Hill Widows Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Horatio B. Douglas; her brothers, James May and Winfred May; her sisters, May Louise May, Lavelle Lewis, Thelma Wells, Imelda Johnston and Mildred Reeves.

Survivors are her son, Charles Ray Lofton, and wife Phyllis, of Brookhaven; her sister, Eula Fay Hancock, of Bogue Chitto; and her grandchildren, Della Elizabeth Lofton, of Chicago, Ill., Amy Nichole Greene, of Douglasville, Ga., and Charles "Shorty" Lofton, and wife, Michelle, of Brookhaven; her great-grandchildren, Garrett, Morgan, Cole, and Lily Grace, of Brookhaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Brookmanor Golden Living Center, 519 Brookman Drive, Brookhaven, MS 39601, and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund, 2305 Pleasant Hill Drive, Bogue Chitto, MS 39629.
