U.S. Army veteran, Leroy Ainsworth, 61, of Topinabee died Sunday, August 25 at the Veterans Hospital in Saginaw.
Born in Detroit May 9, 1930, he was the son of Fred and Jessie (Mace) Ainsworth.
In 1956 he married Dodi Kolaski in Cheboygan. She survives her husband.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Fraternal 0rder of Eagles of Indian River.
Besides his wife, Dodi, he is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Abramson of Levering; two grandchildren; and number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Frankie Ainsworth, in August of 1972.
A veterans memorial services was held Monday, August 26 at the Christian Funeral Home of Cheboygan, where the funeral service was held the following day. Officiating was the Reverend Robert O. Timmons and burial was in the Burt-Mullett Cemetery.
