Chester Arthur Wolfe, 65, life resident of Catlin and a World War I veteran, died at 11:30 p.m. Monday (April 20, 1953) in Veterans Administration Hospital, where he had been a patient since last June. Born in Catlin, Jan 16, 1888, Mr. Wolfe was a son of Winfield Scott and Emma McPherson Wolfe. Formerly a miner at the Peabody Coal Mine, he retired in 1945. He was a member of the Catlin Church of Christ and Davis-Busby Post, American Legion. Surviving are the wife, Ina; two sons, Floyd E. of Carlsbad, N. M., and Chester J. of Catlin; six grandchildren and a sister and brother, Mrs. Lula Blatteau and Irvin Wolfe, both of Catlin. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Catlin Church of Christ with the Rev. Frank Bush officiating. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery. The body is at the Barrick & Sons Funeral Home.
