Davis Jr.. Thomas Marsh 92, 09/10/1917- 6/24/2010 Our loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa went to be with the Lord June 24, 2010, in Rancho Mirage, Calif. He was 92. Marsh was born in Corvallis and grew up in Portland. He graduated in civil and industrial engineering from Oregon State College where he was a Delta Upsilon. He was the oldest living past commodore (1955) of the Columbia River Yacht Club, spending summers with his family deep-sea fishing out of Warrenton. Marsh often took some of his many friends out for a fun day of fishing on the ocean. He was a 50-year member of the Masons. Marsh and Doris, his first wife, were close friends with Bob and Harriet Rogers. After Doris and Bob passed, Marsh and Harriet married. They have wintered in Palm Desert, Calif., since 1987. Marsh's greatest Joy was his family. Besides his wife, Harriet, he is survived by his children, Luanne Davis Thielke (Jim), Vona Davis Pease (Bill), Larry Rogers (David), and Connie Rogers Van Dyke; three grandsons; and three great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held later in Tigard. In lieu of flowers, Marsh suggested remembrances to a church or charity of your choice.
