He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Diane Bosco, on August 18, 2003.
He resided in Vienna, VA. Born Antonino Bosco in the Town of Favara, Italy, he and his family emigrated to New York City in 1922. He graduated from Manhattan High School of Aviation Trades. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy, and survived the sinking of the USS PRINCETON (CVL-23) in 1944. He spent his entire career in military aviation, starting as a shop mechanic and eventually becoming a hydraulic engineer.
An avid motorcyclist, he rode for more than 40 years. He also enjoyed boating and humorously named his craft "Diane's Mink". He was an amateur photographer and was proficient at hand-colorizing black and white photographs.
Survivors include two sons, Phillip Bosco and Rodney & Cassandra Bosco; sister, Josephine Correggio of New York; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Christina, & Alexander, and many other relatives.
Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, January 10, 2009.
