Esther W. Groff, age 79, of Gordonville, PA passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. She was the wife of the late Melvin L. Groff who passed away on August 24, 1999. She was born in Ephrata, daughter of the late Christian G. and Anna Weber High. She was a member of the Summit View Brethren in Christ Church of New Holland. Along with her husband, they owned and operated a local motel. Esther enjoyed quilting and cooking. She is survived by 4 children: Jay, husband of June Brasted Groff of Gordonville; Linda, wife of David Martin of Gap; James, husband of Louise Moyer Groff of Gordonville; Anita, wife of Michael Lowry of Gordonville; 7 grandchildren; 9 siblings; Christian G. Jr., husband of Edna High of Lebanon; Anna W. Gehman of Ephrata; Alverta W., wife of Paul Martin of Stevens; Floyd W., husband of Jane High of Ephrata; Clyde W., husband of Martha High of Akron; Martha G., wife of Mervin Zimmerman of Lititz; Mary W., wife of Michael Wenger of Ephrata; Marvin W., husband of Gladys High of Ephrata; Miriam W., wife of Lester Sauder of Slate Run, PA.
