ADAMS - Elva Rowena Adams, age 68, 1121 Ferry St., died at an Albany hospital Thursday, Nov. 13, 1952. She was born in Tacoma, Wash., Dec. 3, 1883, moving to Springfield, Ore., 21 years ago, where she resided until she came to Albany to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Carl Koeppel 2 years ago. She was a member of the Springfield First Christian Church, the Juanita Rebekah Lodge No. 85 of Springfield, Past Noble Grand Club and the Neighbors of Woodcraft of Springfield. Mrs. Adams is survived by 4 sons: Lloyd and Carroll Adams, both of Tillamook, John and Oliver Adams of Springfield; 2 daughters: Mrs. Merle Short of Eugene and Mrs. Carl Koeppel of Albany; a sister, Mrs. C.B. Herman, Tillamook; a brother, Lloyd B. Waller of Medford and 9 grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, Nov. 17, at 1:30 p.m. in Springfield at the Bartholomew-Buell Chapel, Rev. Veltie Pruitt, Springfield officiating. Concluding services ad interment will take place at Willamette Memorial Park in Albany with the Rebekah Lodge of Springfield inc charge of the ritualistic rites. Fortmiller-Fredericksen Funeral Home of Albany in charge of the services.
