BLUFF SPRINGS -
Roy O. Reichert, 83 of Bluff Springs, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 16, 1996, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born July 9, 1912, in Bluff Springs, the son of Elmer S. and Cora Oetgen Reichert.
He married Phyllis Jokisch March 8, 1936, in Bluff Springs and she survives.
He is also survived by
one son, Randal (wife, Sue) Reichert,
and one daughter, Kathy McMurl, both of Bluff Springs;
two grandsons;
four granddaughters;
one great-grandchild;
two brothers,
Carlos Reichert of Melford,
and Elmer C. Reichert of Virginia;
two sisters,
Hazel Taylor of Mt. Ayre, Iowa,
and Lorene Rogers of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by t
wo brothers, Floyd R. and Norman;
and one sister, Annabel Jokisch.

Mr. Reichert was a member of the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church and the Beardstown Elks Lodge #1007 and a former member of Beardstown Park Board and Bluff Springs Township Officials for many years. He was a retired farmer and Postmaster of the Bluff Springs Post Office.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church with burial at the Beardstown City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown with the family meeting friends 6-8 p.m. Mr. Reichert will be taken to the church one hour prior to services Thursday to lie in state. Memorials are suggested to the Bluff Springs United Methodist Church or the Elks Crippled Children Foundation.
