She married David Jacob "Todd" Sales, June 27, 1903 in Oswego, Labette County, Kansas.
The daughter of John Joab and Almira Melissa (Taylor) Padget.
Uncle Todd and Aunt Nettie lived across the road and just a bit North of my parents when we three older girls were born. Aunt Nettie was there to help mama when we all came into the world. I always liked going over to see them because Aunt Nettie always had fresh baked bread. She would put some cream on a slice of bread, sprinkle it with sugar and oh, was it ever good! They were not any relation to us, but we grew up calling them uncle and aunt.
Aunt Nettie had a large mole on the side of her nose. I called it her little nose and she always got a kick out of that.
In her later years, Aunt Nettie was blind, and the lady she lived with was kind enough to write her letters to me. I still have those letters.
She was a member of the Holiness Church.
