STREATOR — Antonia M. "Toni" Hamara, 96, of Streator, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir's Church, Streator. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Solon-Telford Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Bill Weakley, John Hamara Jr., James Hamara, Greg Bradach and David and Dan Bandura.

Born Sept. 18, 1913, in Streator, she was the daughter of Stanley and Michelina (Mucha) Bandura. She married Andrew Hamara in 1932. He died in 1970.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane Weakley of California; sons, John (Norma) Hamara of Streator and Ted Hamara of southern California; grandchildren, Bill Weakley, Sue Hall, John Hamara Jr., James Hamara and Jill Wojak; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Andrew and Chase Hamara and Cole Wojak; sisters, Sophie Bradach and Marian Gould of Streator and Helen Grygiel of Dixon; and one brother, Frank (Ann) Bandura of Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, John, Victor, Stanley and Steven Bandura.

Born and raised in Streator, she attended St. Casimir's School. She lived in Streator her lifetime.

She worked in the selecting department for Owens-Illinois Glass Company for many years until her retirement.

She was a very active member of St. Casimir's Church and the Altar & Rosary Society of the church. She served the church as a Sacristan for more than 50 years. She also was a member of P.N.A. Lodge.

She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
