Daniel Wright Close, 30, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, June 20, 2010. Dan was born November 19, 1979, in Alliance, Ohio. When in town he enjoyed attending the Chapel in Akron. After graduating from Revere High School in 1998, Dan started his first year of college at The University of Akron and the following year moved to Ohio University. Prior to beginning his third year in college, Dan was involved in a diving accident resulting in Dan becoming a quadriplegic. Dan never gave up and one year after his injury started school at Ohio State while living on campus in an apartment at Creative Living. Dan received his Bachelors Degree in Psychology and went on to complete his Masters Degree in Counseling in May 2009. In the summer of 2009, Dan found new freedom and happiness as he began to drive his newly modified van throughout Ohio seeking employment. Today Dan is walking again with his "Papaw" Ralph Full, Grandpa Herbert Dean Close, and many loved ones who preceded him.

Dan inspired so many with his positive outlook, intellect and never-give-up attitude. Anyone who knew Dan loved him and was so proud of him. Dan was an absolutely amazing son and brother who was so loved and will be forever missed by his mother Rita Wright, father Richard Wright, sister April Wright, brother Erik Wright of Bath, father Larry Close, stepmother Colleen Close, and brothers Adam Close of Beloit, Shawn (Cari) Close of Alliance and Matt (Sarah) Close of Groton, CT, his loving grandmothers Corinne Full, Annette Wright, Eunice Close and grandfather Richard Wright Sr; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Friends will be received Friday, June 25, 2010, from 5 – 8 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Friends may also call an hour prior to the 1:00 PM funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home. Reverend Jay Halley will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph, Ohio
