Service for Emmette Rollo Yocom, 66, who died at his home, 285 West Pine Street, Central Point, Saturday will be held in the Conger-Morris downtown chapel Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Della Linaman officiating. Committal will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Yocom was born in Ellensburg, Washington, December 20, 1895. On June 12, 1917 in Vancouver, Washington, he was married to Anna Marie Karjala, who survives. He moved to southern Oregon in 1921 and started to work for Copco at Prospect Building Line 12 from Prospect to Roseburg in 1922. He was at Persist for seven years as a patrolman and lineman. In 1930 he was transferred to Medford and moved to Central Point in 1944. Here he served 10 years on the city council, was the Central Point Civil Defense Director for several years. and commissioner for the Central Point first department. He retired from Copco on January 1, 1961.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two children, Taylor Yocom, Prospect and Mrs. Anthony Knight, Sherwood; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Dennis, Wenatchee, Washington; Mrs. Marie Barnes, Portland, and two brothers, Porter Yocom Malaga, Washington and Beyrle Yocom, Portland. Active pallbearers will be Don Turner, Lyle Paull, Wallace Bowen, Roy Williamson, L. O. Boomer and William Tucker. Honorary bearers will be Chauncey Florey, Donald Ross, Frank Stinson, Joseph Johnson, Ross Conner, and William Duggan.
