Last Rites Held In Groesbeck For Cleveland Tucker

Groesbeck-- Funeral services were held at the
Shelton Chapel in Groesbeck, Monday after-
noon at 2:30 for Cleveland Tucker, 81, who died
in a Groesbeck hospital Sunday morning after
a long illness.

He was a retired farmer and had operated a
cotton gin for Swift and Company at Big Hill
from 1930 to 1960.

The funeral services were conducted by the
Rev. H. P. Hughes. Burial was in Faulkenberry
Cemetery with the Shelton Funeral Home in
charge of arrangements.

Mr. Tucker was married to the former Carmen
Rutherford on Aug. 7, 1926 in Waco. A native
of Woodville, he had been a resident of
Limestone County since 1916. He was a
member of the Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, Mr. Tucker is survived by
a son, Walter Tucker of Tyler; three daughters,
Mrs. Joyce White, of Shreveport, La.; Mrs.
Beverly Ferguson, of Tehuacana , and Mrs.
Cherry Chaffin of Dallas, and 10 grandchildren.
