Eldora Alexander, 86, of Hopkins Park, a former member of the board of the Kankakeeland Community Action Program, died Monday, April 24, 1989 at Momence Meadows Nursing Home.

Visitation will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hopkins Park beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. The Rev. James Heramb will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the Momence Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Leggett Funeral Home in Hopkins Park.

Mrs. Alexander was born Jan. 1, 1903 in Abbeyville, S.C. to the late Samuel and Nancy Ryard.

Surviving are a sister, Nancy Taylor of Kankakee.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, three brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Alexander, who was a homemaker, had lived in the Hopkins Park area for 26 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
