Mary L. Walters 1922-2010 WALES - Mary L. Walters, 87, died Thursday July 1, 2010 at Quaboag on the Common Nursing Home. Born August 16, 1922 in Pepperell, MA to the late Luis C. and Lettie P. (Dubel) Nutting, she has lived in Wales for over 20 years. Mary was a Registered Nurse and in her younger years she worked in several New York Hospitals. She was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Brimfield. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Peter Walters in 1994 and her son Robert Walters in 1998. She leaves her daughter Diane Alfonso and her husband John of Peoria, AZ; a daughter in-law Jeanette Walters of Amherst, NH; 4 grandchildren Cherie Romano, Renee Riga, Jeffrey Walters and Christy Ayer and 7 great grandchildren. Mary was also predeceased by her sisters Myrle A. Martin and Mildred Nutting. Funeral services will be held Friday July 9, 2010 at Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St. in Monson. A visiting hour will begin at 10:30 with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 and burial at Brimfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
