The Henry REED family lived in Wise County Texas after leaving Cobb County Georgia, and then in early 1917, Henry bought 80 acres of land , two miles southwest of Crosbyton. And on Nov. 17, 1917, all of their belongings were loaded on two box cars and headed for Crosbyton. Two sons, James(Jim) and Bill rode in the box car. The rest of the family came by car.
