Annapolis, MD, June 24 - Midshipman William B. Durkin, a member of the fourth class from West Pittston, PA, fell sixty feet today from a third story window in Bancroft Hall dormitory. At the naval hospital it was said his recovery is doubtful.
Durkin entered the academy only three days ago and was greatly depressed. Navy officers believe his fall may have been an attempt at suicide.
