Paul R Evans, 79 of Memphis. Retired owner of Paul R. Evans Co. in Erie, PA, died of heart failure Sunday at Kennington Pointe. Burial will be in Laurel Hills Cemetery in Erie, PA. Collierville Funeral Home has charge. He Graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He was an auditor for U.S. Steel Corp, Burroughs Corp, and Paul R. Evans Co. He was a life member of east Erie Turners and was past president of the Exchange Club. He was a former member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He was a World War II Marine Veteran. Mr Evans, the widower of Louise McNaughton Evans, leaves four daughters, Lynda Patterson of Louisville, Ky, Peggy Lee of Springs, TX, Susan Blackman of Collierville, and Mary Lou Myers of Holly Springs, NC, and a son Paul Evans JR of Naples Fla, and eight grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
