Funeral services for Miss Mildred Rachel Alexander, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Alexander, formerly of Nocona, now near Forestburg, were held Saturday morning at the home of R.R. Alexander. The services were conducted by S.J. Mathison, pastor of the First Christian Church at Denton, assisted by N.M. Jacks of Gainesville. Interment was at the Nocona Cemetery. Miss Alexander died Thursday at Dallas where she has been sick for weeks with dropsy of the liver. She was taken ill last June while the family lived on a farm near Krum, Denton County, and last October was taken for treatment to Denton, then to Dallas in November. Death occured at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Mace in Oak Cliff. The remains were recieved in Nocona on the Friday train, accompanied by Roy W. Price of Dallas, Mr. Mathison and Miss Catherine Wisdom of Denton. She was the only daughter and the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Alexander, was 16 years 11 months and 17 days old, member of the Christian Church, born in Nocona and left here in 1912 to move to Denton with her parents. Besides her parents, four brothers survive, Sevier, James and Wallace Alexander of the home and B.E. Alexander of Denton. They are all here to attend the funeral.
