Sheridan, Wyo. – Services for Susie Mamie Owings, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ferries Henne Funeral Home, Captain Wayne Sroderberg of the Salvation Army officiating. Burial will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
Mrs. Owings died Sunday in Eventide. She was born Nov, 9, 1892, in Green Castle, Mo., the daughter of Job and Mary Doze. On March 10, 1910, she married John D. Owings in Kirksville, Mo. In 1916 they moved to Livingston, Mont., where he worked for the railroad. They later moved to Laurel and in 1924 to Sheridan. Mr. Owings died in 1968.
Survivors include two sons, George and Lelin, both of Sheridan; two daughters, Juanita Carr of Price, Utah and Helen Ellis of Sheridan; a sister, Jessie Knowles of Green Castle; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
