John Moody

John V. Moody, 78, 111 North Meridian Street, Goldsmith [Tipton Co., Indiana], died at 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 1998, at his residence.
Born September 25, 1919 in Hobbs, [Tipton Co., Indiana] he was the son of
William Frederick and Edna June (GUSTIN) Moody. He was the husband of
Mary Watson, who survives. They were married May 30, 1951.
He was an Over the Road truck driver for 21 years. He worked at Delco Electronics in Kokomo [Howard Co., Indiana] for six years before driving trucks. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1944 to 1946. His affiliation
included Goldsmith United Methodist Church and he was a member of the
Teamsters.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie Kay and Jeffrey Andrew Doris, Bloomfield; [Greene Co., Indiana] a sister, Joyce Schimmel, Orlando,
Florida; and a granddaughter, Emmalee Kristine Doris, Bloomfield. [Greene
Co., Indiana]
Preceeding him in death were two brothers.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Porter Funeral Home. [Tipton
Co., Indiana] The Rev. Patrick Skinner will officiate. Burial will be in
Tetersburg Cemetary. [Tipton Co., Indiana] Friends may call from 2
to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
