Funeral services for Mrs Minnie C. Clifton, 85, of 3715 Jayne Avenue, were held at 2:00p.m., Saturday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with Pastor Lewis Stout of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Rev. Joe H. Royalty, pastor of the Clinton Boulevard Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Clifton died erly Friday morning at Sanatorium following a long illness. A native of Lauderdale County, she had lived in Jackson since 1928. She was associated with American Rescue Workers for 45 years, retiring in 1965. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors re two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Rasbury and Mrs. Harry L. Hutchins Sr., both of Jackson; and three grandsons, Pete Fowler, Harry L. Hutchins Jr., and Horace Hutchins, all of Jackson and 10 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Lakewood Memorial Park with grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
