BOLEJACK, Jewell Douglas – Age 78, of Roseburg, passed away Saturday, January 3, 1998 in a local hospital. He was born July 29, 1919 in Kingsville, Missouri to Clarence and Katie (Eppie) Bolejack. Mr. Bolejack served in the 3rd Air Force as the head of the x-ray department at Drew Field, Tampa, Florida during World War II. On July 4, 1943, in St. Louis, Missouri, he married Betty Hubert. Mr. Bolejack served as a minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 34 years until his retirement in 1985. He served in the Upper Columbia, Michigan, Iowa, California and Colorado Conferences. The Bolejacks moved from Post Falls, Idaho to Roseburg in 1985. Mr Bolejack enjoyed gardening, wood working, furniture making, playing horseshoes and reading. He was active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sutherlin.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Bolejack of Roseburg; daughter, Karen Rausch and her husband Bob of San Jose, California; sons, Douglas Bolejack and his wife Susan and Norman Bolejack and his wife, Kathy all of Denver, Colorado; sisters, Louise Kinnamon of Wichita, Kansas, Charlotte Widner and Wilma Brinley and her husband, Richard all of Berrien Springs, Michigan; brothers, Allen Bolejack and his wife, Irene of Indianapolis, Indiana, Marvin Bolejack and his wife, Roberta of Kansas City, Missouri and Ron Bolejack of Omaha, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jennifer and Vanessa Bolejack, Lauri, Kathy, Carl and Bobby Rausch, Noelle and Brandie Lamberton and Kimberlee Bolejack,.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 8, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sutherlin. Pastor Richard Harbour will officiate. Private interment will be held in the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Oregon. Contributions may be made in Mr. Bolejack's memory to the Quiet Hour, P.O. Box 3000, Redland, California 92373. CHAPEL OF THE FIRS is in charge of arrangements.
