John Carande, of San Ramon, formerly of Brockton, Mass., July 4, 2010, at age 75. John was captain of the Rockland (Mass.) High School football team and played at the collegiate level for Boston University from which he graduated. He worked for Mammoth Mart Discount Store, Lechmere of Massachusetts, Good Guys of California, and Toshiba Consumer Products for the past 20 years. John was an avid Celtics, Red Sox and 49er's fan. He was the beloved husband of Roberta (Cohen); devoted father of Neil of Copperopolis, Mark of Oak Park, Carl and his wife Irene of Charlotte, N.C., and Beth Fehr and her husband Tom of Alamo; dear grandfather of Kristie and Rachel Carande and Matthew and Alison Fehr; loving brother of the late Howard Carande. Funeral service at Temple Beth Am, 871 North Main St., Randolph, Mass., Sunday, July 11, 2010. Interment in Pride of Brockton Cemetery, Stoughton, Mass. Memorial observance at the home of Dana and David Cohen, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances in Johns memory may be made to East Bay Hospice, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, or Lewy Body Dementia Assn., 912 Killian Hill Road SW, Lilburn, GA 30047.
