Betty was cremated at the Yates Wilbert Crematory in Charlotte, N.C. and her remains are at present with her son. She was a mother of four children, two of which were adopted as babies, her oldest is Herbert Alton Jones, Jr. of Lexington, N.C. and Angela Jones Hacker of Lexington, Ky. She is the grandmother of four, Erik Brandon Jones of LaGrange, N.C., Candice Nicole & Aaron Christopher Hogan of Lexington, Ky. and Larry David Hogan, Jr. of Amelia, Va. The two that were put up for adoption were both girls and at the time of their adoptions their names were Iola Jean & Margaret Elizabeth.
