Walter "Scott" Fox, Sr, 94, died last week in a nursing home.
He was born in Shelby County and came to farm in Franklin Township in 1922. About 1928 he settled at the "home" place at 4415 South Franklin Road. "Know Your Neighbor" column introduced and wished Scott a belated 91st birthday in the September 26, 1973 edition.
He drove the township school hack in the late 20s and early 30s.
Services were held September 25 at Little and Sons Funeral Home, Beech Grove with burial in Orchard Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter Harriette G Deerberg; sons, Elbridge, Fenton, Fred and Walter S. Jr; eight grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
