Robert Paul Barton, 63, of Marietta died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999.

A Savannah native, Mr. Barton was a 1959 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the Emory University School of Law. Mr. Barton was employed by Delta Air Lines as an engineer and in 1961 began work in the legal department of Lockheed Georgia Company, now Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company. Mr. Barton was currently chief counsel for the company.

Survivors include his wife, Anita S. Barton of Marietta; daughters, Anne Barton White of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Virginia Barton of Atlanta; his sister, Gail Chastain of Starkville, Miss., and two grandsons.

A memorial service was held at the Episcopal Church of St. Peter & Paul in Marietta, with the Revs. Aaron Uitti and Mary Beth Lawrence officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Angel Flight 2000, Airport Road, 227 Administration Bldg., Chamblee, Ga. 30341. H. M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill Chapel in Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
