Hastings resident Kathleen J. (Flanigan) Sanford, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Aurora Memorial Hospital in Aurora.
Services were held Monday at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home chapel in Hastings with the Rev. Stan Crawford officiating. Burial was in Blue Valley Cemetery at Ayr.

Mrs. Sanford was born Jan. 31, 1922, to Claude and Lillian (Eckersen) Flanigan in Watertown, S.D. On July 9, 1944, she married Merlin Sanford. She was employed by Mode-O-Day for several years.
Her husband died April 11, 1983.
Survivors are one daughter, Penny Rose of Hastings; one son, Rick of Harvard; five grand-children; and three great-grand- children.
She also was preceded in death by one brother.
