Brother Martin Fallin, FSC (Robert William Fallin) was born in Springfield, MO on September 8, 1931 to Ernest A. Fallin and Josephine Brugger Fallin.

He was a member of the De La Salle Christian Brothers for sixty-one years and died at Napa, CA on July 8, 2010 at the age of seventy-eight.

He graduated from the Junior Novitiate in Napa and entered the novitiate in June 1949. He received the religious habit on August 14, 1949 and pronounced final vows on August 15, 1956.

He received his BA degree from Saint Mary's College in 1954 and a MA in Education from Immaculate Heart College (Los Angeles) in 1968.

Brother Martin was a teacher and administrator in many Christian Brothers schools in California for fifty-five years. His teaching assignments included Sacred Heart High School, San Francisco; Cathedral High School, Los Angeles; La Salle High School, Pasadena; Christian Brothers High School, Sacramento; Justin-Siena High School, Napa; and, Saint Mary's College, Moraga. He was principal of four high schools: Sacred Heart High School, La Salle High School, Christian Brothers High School and Justin-Siena High School. He also served as District Supervisor of Schools and District Vocation Director. His longest assignment began in 1988 when he was assigned to Saint Mary's College where he held both academic and administrative positions for twenty-one years. Brother Martin moved to the Christian Brothers retirement community in Napa in October 2009.

Brother Martin is survived by his nephew Timothy Fallin and relatives in CA and OK.

Funeral Services will be held at Mont La Salle, 4401 Redwood Road, Napa, CA, on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. S viewing will precede the funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Mont La Salle Cemetery.
Lunch will be served following the burial.
