Alice Elizabeth Moates George is my paternal grandmother.
She was called either Elizabeth or Liz by friends.
Her grandchildren called her 'Mammie'.
She died from pneumonia.

The place where she and Russell are buried was owned by them. It is actually across the road from the Jakin city cemetery. The pines surrounding their gravesite were planted by my father. Some had been cut down last time I was there. They lived on the corner of the cemetery road and the main road of Jakin.

She and Russell had 6 children, my father being the oldest.
Kenneth Russell George, Brenda Joyce, Patricia Louise, Alice Faye "June", Wilton Ray and Emma Lucille.
