Mrs. Laura Maria Mascalo Vallario, 74, of 369 New Park Ave., widow of Joseph Vallario, died Friday morning at her home. She was born in Rapone, Province of Potenza, Italy, May 16, 1878, and lived in Hartford 54 years. She leaves seven daughters, Mrs. Pasquale Morano of West Hartford, Sister Mary Laurinda of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. John Manzone, Mrs. Cona Serignese, Miss Rose M. Vallario, Mrs. Raymond Berry, and Mrs. Merle Smith, all of Hartford; two sons, Peter J. Vallario of Meriden, and Daniel J. Vallario of Wethersfield; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Champ of Manchester, Mrs. John Natale of West Hartford; two brothers, Joseph N. Mascalo of West Hartford, and Michael V. Mascalo of Plantsville; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:15 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 235 Wethersfield Ave., with a solemn requiem mass in Our Lady of Sorrow.
