Henry came to Calif. at age of 28 yrs. While scouting for the railroad near the future rail stop of Kirkwood, he attended a dance where he saw a 12 yr. old girl by the name of Nelle Pearl(WATKINS.) He then waited for her to grow to marrying age to make her his wife. They raised 5 children in Kirkwood where he served as Postmaster. Children were: Agnes Eliz.DAY, Allen, Marian GUYTON, Katherine D'ANGELO, Robert and one unnamed WALKER infant. Henry was the son of James William and Sarah Jane (POWELL) Walker and brother of Frank, Sarah, Mary and Lizzie.
