(special thanks to Janice Peay #47222780 for the following info) Selenes M. Wallace was the son of Thomas and Sarah Wallace. He married Nancy Caroline Roberson on 18 Apr 1851 in Pontotoc Co., Mississippi. They were the parents of four children; Mary A. C., Sarah E., Hettie J., and Selenes M. Wallace, Jr.

The 27th Alabama Infantry Regiment was organized at Fort Heiman, Tennessee, on 28 January 1862. Selenes was a member of company C. He died of Typhoid Fever.
